Sorry to Say

I have done no cutting or quilting all week. Of course, I should have cut two or three blocks ahead since I worked 5 days this week, but I haven’t even put the quilting area of the basement back together since the painting happened.

I am, however, listening to my favorite quilting podcasts. If you have never listened to a podcast, I highly recommend it. They are like radio shows and are mostly free. You don’t have to have an iPod or other MP3 player to listen – I’m actually listening on my computer right now. (While I’m quilting, I usually listen to them on my iPad since I can turn the volume up loud enough to hear the podcast without using headphones.) If I don’t quilt, I get way behind on my podcast listening. Another awesome reason for quilting! Below is a list of some of my favorites (in no particular order):

I have linked to podcast and blog pages for each of these, but you can subscribe to them in iTunes easily.
There is a new one called Quilting Daydreams that I’ve downloaded but not yet listened to and two that haven’t updated in a while but are excellent: Mirkwood Designs and Within a Quarter Inch.
Yes, I know about Creative Mojo with Mark Lipinski, and I did listen to it for quite some time, but I just don’t have enough energy to come anywhere near matching Mark’s (he has more energy than anyone else – except maybe James Franco) and a 2 hour podcast is just too long for me to get through. It was putting me way behind on my other listening, so I gave up. However, his show is well-planned and he has great guests if you have the time and energy to listen to him.
I guess that is about enough meandering on and on here for one day. Especially with no pictures!
Have a great weekend and
Quilt on!

Oh, I do love Mark’s Creative Mojo. but I do have time to listen to it while I groom the dogs 🙂 He is just too funny! I love the guests he has on, too. I love Annie’s Quilting Stash, too. She is awesome! Pat’s Creative talk Radio is the other one I listen to. Time puts a damper on a lot of the others 🙂
