All wedding quilt progress has been cutting, since my machine is at the doctor. (I am expecting them to call and tell me to come pick her up today.) So far, I have cut the fabric for the nine star blocks, and I’m close to finish cutting all the blues, greens and purples. Most of the background fabrics are pressed and waiting their turn at the cutting table.
As a reward for doing the detested cutting, I have been letting myself do some hand quilting. I’m getting close to finishing the crosshatching in the border at one end, which means I should look like I’m making faster progress because the blocks and sashing should go a little more quickly. Of course, once the wedding quilt is layered and basted, this quilt will take a break.
Sorry there are no pictures, but pieces of fabric in plastic bags look a bit boring.
