Wedding Quilt Update

This will be brief. I have gotten to the part where I assemble the complicated-looking blocks. I’m working on the first 40, chain piecing them. I think I should only have done 10 at a time so it would feel like it is going faster. But I didn’t. Here is what a couple of them look like at 4 1/2 inches. (They’ll be 6 1/2 inches when completed.)

photoI also cut some of the strip sets for the border for the church quilt (and handed them off to other people to sew together).

So what have I been doing that kept me from making more inroads on the wedding quilt. Reading, mostly. Every once in a while that has to happen. I see still more of that in my future.

I also picked up Spa Squirrel from the longarmer. I will get it bound as soon as I feel like I can take that short break from the Wedding Quilt. I guess I’d better get back to it.

Quilt on!

That sounds like good progress on the wedding quilt. It is amazing puzzle. Do have any idea how you will hand quilt it?
