Another Wedding Quilt Update

I’ve been working on assembling the center of the quilt (shown here draped over the cutting table because I have no idea how to photograph this 81 1/2 inch square right now):

IMG_1279And I have assembled the 6 1/2″ blocks to make the main borders:

IMG_1280The next job will be to make the neutral borders to go between the center and these borders and outside these borders. I understand the inner border’s purpose. It’s to make the center of the quilt fit the borders. I’m not sure about the outermost border, unless it is more to stabilize the quilt before quilting. Anyway, the finished quilt top will be 98 1/2″ x 98 1/2″. Yep, it’s a big one.

What are you working on?

Quilt on!

Wow, it’s getting big already! Can’t wait to see the whole thing! I’m still on Easy Street believe it or not :)))

The quilt looks great! All that white really highlights the blues. You don’t have to put the outer border on, if you don’t like it, you know.
