Here we are at the point of no return. I just have two more seams to sew on this block – so they will wait until tomorrow and I will take a break here and show you what I’ve done today.
Above are the Flying Geese units. You can tell which two I made yesterday because they are flatter, having spent the night in a book. Note the one at the bottom right is waving at you!
For some reason, these look likes pockets to me! Obviously, these are the Flying Geese joined to yesterday’s other sections. As I look at this picture, it looks very Oriental to me!
Here is the center of the block, in need of a good pressing! It almost looks like I fussy cut the square to get that big paisley in the middle of the square. How weird!
Here are the corner units. Still not thrilled with the color choices, I think.
And here is the center strip. I still don’t think there is enough difference in the values here! Can you tell me it is really bugging you?
