La Passacaglia Progress

All the progress I’ve made on anything over the past few days has been on La Passacaglia. I did less hand piecing than I usually do on Saturday, because it was the charming eldest daughter’s birthday celebration, but I made up for it tonight while waiting for my husband at a church meeting. So here’s what has happened recently.

I completed attaching the star wreath to the inner sections. If this were Rosette 1, it would be done, but it is one of three Rosette 2s, so I have quite a ways to go yet.fullsizeoutput_1e56

Then I got this next round attached. That was completed tonight. I do like it in person, but I’m pretty sure I’m not a fan of what I’ve cut for the next round. I think I need to cut fabric with come darker colors for the next round. Or more purple or more blue.fullsizeoutput_1e55This is what I have currently cut for the next round. It is more aqua than the green it looks in this picture. I am not sure I’m feeling it and will be trolling fabrics to see what I really want to use here.

What have you been up to?

Quilt on!

  1. Since you are not fussy cutting, you might have to choose different types of fabrics. I don’t know for sure, but you might get more impact with tone-on-tones and small prints.
