We’re expecting several inches of snow today, so we are not attending church this morning or any Super Bowl parties this afternoon. I foresee a very lazy day today, except for making the necessary snow day chocolate chip cookies.
We saw our youngest daughter and our son-in-law this weekend so were able to hand off the Tumbler Quilt. This means we had the tall guy around to hold up the quilt so I got a better picture. (Yep, the son-in-law is behind it. You can almost see his feet.)
I have spent some time cutting fabric for Scrap in a Box. I hope to finish that tomorrow so I can sew step one before step two comes out. I am afraid that I dread cutting so much that I kind of avoid the cutting area. And since it’s my next step…
My plans/hopes for this upcoming week are:
- Finish cutting fabric for Scrap in a Box and do step one.
- Cut and piece the 2014 Designer Mystery BOM blocks 6, 7 and 8 so I’m caught up before the next block comes.
- Finish cutting the fabrics for the American Beauty BOM sashing so I can assemble the sashing and the quilt center.
- Do some hand quilting on my own quilt (AKA 2009 Designer Mystery BOM).
Does that sound a little ambitious? Well, I’ll keep you updated. Maybe I’ll actually get some of it done. I’ll keep you posted!
