There were actually two layer cakes that didn’t make it into the giveaway, but I’m only going to talk about one of them here. But before I do that, if you haven’t entered the giveaway yet, please click here and do so. Remember, you are not entered by just leaving a comment. You need to tell the Rafflecopter widgets that you’ve done so. Also, if you don’t want to deal with the Rafflecopter widget, but you’ve left a comment and want to be entered, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know that is you want to be entered.
Back to the story.
I originally pulled four possible layer cakes to give away. One was a princess themed layer cake that I decided to keep just in case a granddaughter ever materializes. The other was the layer cake above. It is Palindromes by Paula Nadelstern. At first, looking at just the top fabric, I felt like it was too wild with lots of browns, but as time wore on and I looked again and again at the Twitter quilt we’ll be making starting May 1, I realized that this was the perfect layer cake for that quilt, so it’s staying with me!
