Apparently it’s feast or famine around here with the posts!
Apparently (and apparently apparently is the word of the day here!) the Twitterverse is causing me to start an new project soon. Next Monday to be exact, as we sew-in on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I think it might be AJ’s (from I Knit N Quilt 2 and The Quilting Pot podcast) fault. Or maybe it’s Sandy’s (from Quilting for the Rest of Us and the podcast of the same name) fault. I think Nonnie (from Nonnie’s Quilting Dreams and the podcast of the same name) first tweeted a link to the YouTube videos. All of that is irrelevant, really.
Let’s just say that somehow someone on Twitter mentioned the Disappearing Pinwheel Quilt tutorials from Missouri Star Quilt Company. The first tutorial is this one:
The second one is this one:
Aren’t they gorgeous? And now somehow, through the magic of Twitter, several of us are going to make one of these or at least work on them next Monday. And, yes, that includes me. And, yes, I know that I have way too many other projects going on, but there you go. I guess they are going to have to wait.
Which brings me to the big question: Which layer cake do I use? I have two Kate Spain layer cakes – Cuzco and Good Fortune. (In my opinion, one can never go wrong with Kate Spain.)
And I have Amanda Murphy’s Veranda. (I love the brights in this!)
And Moon Shadows by Michele D’Amore. (There are some gorgeous fabrics in here and it is very different from my usual bright colors.)
And Kissing Booth by Basic Grey. (Valentine’s Day is coming after all.)
Any suggestions? How do I choose? Help me! Please!
And Quilt on!
